Questions

How does editing work?

Click a line to change it. When you download, the old text is covered with the page’s background colour and your new text is written on top in Helvetica. The old text is hidden, not deleted — to remove sensitive text for good, use Redact PDF.

Why does the font look different?

Fonts embedded in PDFs are usually subsets that only contain the original letters, so edited lines use a standard font instead.

Can I edit scanned PDFs?

Scans have no real text. Run them through OCR PDF first, or use “Add text” to write over them.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Editing happens entirely in your browser.
